University of California, Davis, School of Law, Davis, California.  Graduated in May 1988 with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree. Awarded a Graduate Student Tuition Fellowship.

University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Political Science in April 1984 (minor in Economics).  Ranked in the top 4% of his class.

Notre Dame High School, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.  Graduated third in his class in 1980.  Elected as President of the National Honor Society, and lettered in basketball and soccer.

Legal Career

Trial Attorney.  Stroudsburg, PA and New York, NY, 1995 to present.  Private law practice, concentrating in the areas of civil litigation, domestic relations, real estate, and commercial litigation.

Assistant District Attorney.  Monroe County, Pennsylvania, 1997 to 2002 and 2008 to present.  Prosecuted thousands of  felony and misdemeanor crimes, including murder, rape, robbery, sex offenses, drug trafficking and fraud.

United States Air Force Officer.  Captain in the Judge Advocate General Department, 1989-1995.  Served as a military prosecutor for 4 years, and defense counsel for 2 years.  Served as a Claims Officer for 3 years, responsible for defending and prosecuting financial claims for and against the Air Force.  Served as the staff attorney at two military hospitals, responsible for risk assessment and quality assurance, and defended medical malpractice claims totaling over $75 million.
